Kenno Says:
When I used a Mac, I’ve tried all of them excepted Flock. In the end, I like Firefox and Camino the most.
Can you still run IE on Mac?
phalkunz Says:
I can’t really say whether firefox or safari is on the top of my list. There are a lot plugins for firefox and some of them -like web developer, firebug, and stumbleupon- make yourself so much easier. However, the drawback is firefox has an issue with memory usage. For safari, you don’t have as many plugins as you do for firefox but the thing is it’s really fast. But still, you can install webkit that gives safari the ability to inspect html, just not as comprehensive as firebug does, and now we have a plugin for stumbleupon, called stumbi
My mac is powerpc so it can only run old version of IE (version 5 i guess) on OS9 partition.
ijajaja Says:
Me only three : FF, IE and recently installed Safari
phalkunz Says:
how do you find Safari on Windows so far?
Meta Says:
you should write your own browser too!
few lines in ruby should do the trick…
phalkunz Says:
@Meta: a few lines of code properly can only send and receive HTTP requests and responses :p to make a full featured browser takes a lot more than that. Anyways, how have you been? long time no see. what do you do now?
Meta Says:
I am stuck in Australia for my master degree. I have no more weekend. I should have chosen another university instead of this one
phalkunz Says:
Sounds tough so it must be a good uni. Well, it will pay off later one. What course you do? Telecomm, right?
ijajaja Says:
The web loads faster than others with Safari on Windows. The thing that i am so upset is Safari doesn’t support Khmer Unicode yet…
Meta Says:
It’s carnegie mellon uni. Maybe that’s the reason why…
I am doing MSIT but yeah it does have one core course called telecommunication management. any plan to visit cambodia this year?
phalkunz Says:
@ijajaja: I thought the unicode support was based on the operating system. That’s a minus for Safari.
@Meta: isn’t carnegie mellon american? Great bro. I don’t really have plan to visit Cambodia yet. You? Any plan after your master graduation?
Meta Says:
yeah, they hv one campus in Adelaide. I hv to go back after this master. In december to be precise.
phalkunz Says:
Oh cool. should meet up for a coffee or something when I go to Cambodia.
Sophea Says:
Hehe…i usually use IE but this recent days it became crazy, no favorite add allow, web loading became too slow..bla bla bla…so i have to download and install another FF 3 RC2.
To ijajaja: Hey dude, safari now fully support khmerunicode then.
phalkunz Says:
@Sophea: hope you have fun experience with firefox.
khmerbird Says:
i love firefox
Sopheakl Says:
I used IE and Firefox but I love Firefox the most. Also, I like a safari in iphone as well. it is working well in the iphone.
